PLEASE NOTE:
Under health orders from the province of Ontario, certain indoor facilities, including gyms and fitness studios, will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination starting September 22.
As of September 22, members of Rejuvenate Fitness Club will need to prove they’ve had both doses a minimum of 14 days prior to entering the gym. Those who aren’t already fully vaccinated should schedule their second dose appointment as soon as possible, in order to avoid disruption of access to the gym.
If you have a PDF two-dose vaccine receipt, please forward it to us before September 22. Note that all vaccine records are destroyed after receipt. We only need to verify once.
If you have not provided proof of immunization by September 22, your access to the gym will be suspended until proof is received. Please note that your membership will not be put on hold while awaiting your proof of immunization.
If you do arrive at the gym and are unable to access the building after September 22, please contact us at 807-276-1449, and we can reactivate your fob, once you send through the vaccination receipt to us.
COVID-19
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.
You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth..
COVID AND FITNESS CENTRES
Owners and operators of gyms, fitness studios and sports facilities have a responsibility to assess the risks associated with their facility and operations, and their ability to mitigate these risks. They are responsible for implementing measures to reduce the risk of infection among all those who participate in their activities (e.g. staff, volunteers, attendees).
Rejuvenate Fitness has developed policies and procedures in accordance with directives given by the Northwestern Health Unit and the Ontario provincial government, detailed below:
WHAT WE’RE DOING & WHAT YOU MUST DO
INCREASED CLEANING: We are abiding by a “constantly cleaning” mentality. High-touch points will be disinfected multiple times per day.
SANITIZING WIPES: Disinfectant wipes are available. Please help us by wiping down the equipment before AND after every use.
HAND SANITIZING: Hand sanitizer is available throughout the club. Please sanitize your hands before entering the club and throughout your workout.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING: We have reduced club capacity to ensure physical distancing is possible (four members at a time). Cards are mounted on the window that you will turn to “Occupied” when you arrive, and “Available” when you leave. Maximum of six (6) members in the gym at a time.
WEAR A MASK: Members ARE REQUIRED to bring and wear a mask while at Rejuvenate. Masks may only be removed when actively working out, per health unit requirements.
CLOSED/REDUCED AMENITIES: In order to follow safe distancing and cleanliness regulations, some amenities are reduced: showers and change rooms are closed (come to the gym wearing your workout gear), and club hours are reduced to 5AM -10PM, in order to allow time for cleaning.
